If you’re planning a stay in Squamish, and happen to be here on on a Saturday, you’ll want to stop by the Sea to Sky Farmers’ Market. You’ll discover fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat, baked goods, and artisan-made goods. There are also weekly events, featuring local musicians, chefs, topical experts and entertainers. The Squamish Farmers Market Association is celebrating its 15th year. They’ve grown from a handful of vendors in 2003, to up to 60 vendors, with local musicians, entertainment, artisans and activities scheduled weekly.
During the summer, you’ll find the market at the Corner of Cleveland Avenue and Victoria St., from 10:00 to 3:00, from April 7th through October 27th. In the winter, the market moves to the Squamish Adventure Centre, for the months of November and December.
Several of the Squamish motels have kitchenettes available (like August Jack Motor Inn), which makes preparing fresh locally sourced produce, baked goods, eggs and meats part of the Squamish experience.
